Disaronno wears Missoni

In 2017 the ICON project celebrates its 5th anniversary: after its previous editions with Moschino (2013), Versace (2014), Cavalli (2015) and Etro (2016) the project continues introducing a new limited edition bottle, designed in partnership with Missoni.
The Disaronno bottle features the trademark zigzag stripes of the Missoni brand, with warm colour tones such as the liqueur, which can be half-seen through the transparent sections that become part of the design itself.
Starting from the file given by Missoni, I create the artwork with all the optical corrections needed to fit the bottle. Then I declined it into all the different ML formats and 20 Countries languages. Always manteining the design centered and the correct correct proportions.
One of the formats that I had to create was the small 50ML mini bottle. Its design was all on me, so to create it I decide to use zigzag stripes in differnt shade of color, and due to the small dimension I "close" almost all the transparency. The result are six very cute bottles, coherent whit the big one: all different and collectables.
The transparency was the real issue of the creation of this year sleev. Using the correct plastic, and the exact amount of color, was neccessary to make look good the final pack, whitout wrinkles, and whit clear and powerful colors. The other problem was that, for the first year, you could see the back of the sleeve. So we decided to close all the print whit a last layer of silver (instead of the usual white) that make the inside of the sleever look more precious.
In addition to the bottles I had to create all the others packagings and materials supporting the sale of the sleeve, like: VAP, glasses and shoppers.
